The newly created Supply Chain Manager role at Components Company Inc. (CCI) ensures that all purchasing, production, and shipping processes are efficient and timely, in order to meet customer expectations. This role utilizes the ERP system to improve the flow of purchasing and warehouse operations, so customers receive on-time delivery of all materials and services. The Manager determines and implements process improvements in support of sales, purchasing, planning, and scheduling functions, to ensure the highest standard of on-time delivery. This role reports to the Director of Purchasing to collaborate on best practices for superior supply chain management. This role is not supported by a visa or other sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
· Heavily utilize the ERP to manage all production planning, inventory management, product distribution, etc.
· Analyze and audit purchasing standards and processes with an eye toward continuous improvement.
· Automate purchasing, planning, scheduling, and customer service processes where possible.
· Communicate issues and concerns with customers, suppliers, and CCI leaders.
· Establish and maintain supplier performance metrics.
· Manage customer and supplier relationships; source products as needed.
· Create and maintain complex BOMs with numerous elements, including subcontractors.
· Create, maintain, and analyze routings to ensure highly accurate labor costing.
· Support inventory management improvements.
· Periodically visit customers and suppliers.
· Support the quoting process and flag any potential risks.
· Lead, support, train, and mentor team members as process improvements are implemented.
· Issue purchase orders with suppliers; confirm due dates, manage backorders, and expedite as needed.

Qualifications
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field
Experience/Knowledge:
o Five years of directly related purchasing, supply chain, and customer service experience
o Experience managing the supply chain for complex BOMs
o Strong knowledge of supply chain processes including creating comprehensive and extensive BOMs and documenting customer requirements
o Successful in managing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
o Leadership experience, including getting results through others
Skills/Competencies:
o Excellent customer service skills, including problem solving
o Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet multiple and changing deadlines
o Tech savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products; exceptional ERP skills are a must
o Leadership skills including managerial courage to address performance and personnel issues and to resolve conflicts
o Excellent team building, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
o Positive, professional attitude, demeanor, and presentation
o Strong attention to detail
o Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, and efficient
o Driven, with the ability to work independently
o Strong listening, written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands
Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, walking and reaching
Some travel is required, less than 10%
Able to lift up to 20 lbs. at times
Comfortable working in a changing and busy environment
Able to work overtime as needed
